I'm looking for a good Linux distribution for my laptop. It's got an i7 7th generation processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 1060 6GB graphics card. My touchpad isn't working, and I prefer not to buy a new Windows 11 laptop. I want to play some games, but they won't be very demanding. Any recommendations?

Try running Ubuntu for a month first. It’s pretty versatile, and you’ll get a good sense of what you like or don’t like about it in no time!
Honestly, your specs are decent, so you can run pretty much any distro. Linux Mint and PopOS are both user-friendly and have good gaming support. Just find one that feels right for you!
If you're into gaming on Linux, I recommend trying Nobara's Nvidia version. It’s got great support for games and should run well with your hardware.
I was considering either Mint or Zorin for my setup too! They both seem to offer good support for users transitioning from Windows.
I've been using Linux Mint, and it’s awesome for gaming—lots of titles work well through Steam. It's a fantastic replacement for Windows!
Thanks for the suggestion! I've heard good things about Mint!
