Hey everyone! I just got my hands on a new server setup with a Ryzen Threadripper, 128GB of RAM, and a GTX 1050ti. I'm planning to run a mix of services including 5 Minecraft servers, Jellyfin, 3 Farming Simulator 22 servers, my personal website, and qbittorrent for seeding Linux distros. Coming from a Windows server background, I'm curious which Linux distribution would be the best choice for handling all these different servers efficiently?

With the power of your Threadripper, I'd recommend going with Proxmox as the main OS for virtualization. It handles multiple VMs well and allows you to manage everything smoothly.
Proxmox is solid! You could run an Ubuntu or Debian VM for specific applications like Crafty Controller, and allocate separate VMs for your Farming Simulator servers and a container for your website. It gives you great flexibility!
Honestly, the choice of distro isn't hugely critical if you're using Docker. I run Debian on my server, and Docker makes things a breeze without needing complex setups. If you're open to that, it can make managing services much simpler.
