What’s the Best Linux Distro for Privacy?

Hey everyone! I'm a student seriously concerned about privacy, especially considering how the future looks in this regard. I want to take steps to protect my personal info, and I'm curious about which Linux distribution is the best for ensuring privacy. Ideally, I'm looking for something that resets with every boot and lets me run my internet traffic through the Tor browser. Also, I'm wondering if it would be effective to run this OS in a virtual machine while using a system-wide VPN on my actual desktop to mask my IP. I'm pretty new to this, so any guidance would be appreciated!

You basically just described Tails OS. It's specifically designed for privacy, as it runs from a USB stick and clears everything when you shut down. It's a solid choice for what you're looking for!

If you're really into privacy, consider using a combination of tools. Make sure you select the right browser; sometimes that's even more important than which Linux distro you choose. Tails or Whonix might fit your needs well, and you can still use other distros with privacy-focused browsers.

Thanks for the tips! I’ve been hearing a lot about those distros, and your advice on browsers is really helpful!
