I'm looking for a Linux distribution that focuses specifically on security, as I'm concerned about protecting myself from malware and hackers. I've heard of Qubes, but my laptop can't handle it. I also have Tails, but I understand that it's more about anonymity than security. Can anyone suggest a distro that provides solid protection against threats? I've come across Whonix but I'm not entirely sure about it. Ideally, I'd like to run it from a USB stick, but I'm open to other options too.

Honestly, any mainstream distro like Ubuntu, Debian, or Fedora can be secure enough if you set them up right. They all have their pros and cons, but it’s mostly about how you use them and configure your settings. Just remember, you’re often your own biggest vulnerability!
Security can often be misunderstood. Here are a few tips: Use a separate admin account, stick to official repos, and trust the development team behind the distro. A couple of solid suggestions would be RHEL/Fedora, openSUSE, or Debian, but you'll need to configure them appropriately to ensure they are secure.
Kali Linux is definitely worth considering! It's built for security professionals and comes with a lot of built-in tools to protect against threats. However, it’s not typically meant for daily use outside of pentesting, so keep that in mind.
Yeah, I've looked at Kali too but wasn’t sure if it could also work for gaming. Still trying to find examples of others using it that way.
