Hey everyone! I'm new to building PCs and could really use some help choosing a motherboard for my setup. I'm looking to pair a 9800X3D processor with a 5070 Ti graphics card, and I have a budget of around $2000 to $2100. I will be using Wi-Fi for internet connectivity, so I'd like a motherboard with built-in Wi-Fi capabilities. Aesthetic-wise, I prefer something in black or grey to fit my mostly black build. I've heard some good things about B850 motherboards, but I'm not very knowledgeable about the options out there. What do you all recommend? I've linked my PCPartPicker list below for reference. Check out the Gigabyte B850 Aorus Elite WiFi7! It’s a solid board and has everything you need for your build, including built-in Wi-Fi. Plus, it’s a great deal at under $200 right now!
That’s a great deal for under $200! I typically recommend an X870 board for pairing with a 9800X3D because of the better VRMs for overclocking, but if you don't plan on overclocking, the B850 should work just fine.
If you're looking for affordable options, you might want to consider the B850 Tomahawk, TUF, or Aorus. They vary in price so you can find something that fits your budget.
Thanks for the heads up on those options!
I’d vote for the Tomahawk personally! It’s a great motherboard. The Aorus is nice too, but just keep in mind that the TUF model lacks S/PDIF, which might be a dealbreaker depending on your setup.
Cool, I appreciate the recommendation! I'll make sure to weigh those pros and cons.
Wow, that sounds like a nice deal! Thanks for the recommendation, I'm definitely looking into it.
