I'm looking for recommendations for a motherboard to pair with my Ryzen 7 9800X3D, mainly for gaming. I initially got an ASRock B850M Riptide, but I've come across reports of it frying the CPU, which has me reconsidering. I'm planning to send it back and need suggestions for a reliable replacement.

This is great advice! I’d stick with a B850 for now, but if you can grab a B650 deal, go for it! Check out this spreadsheet that goes into detail about lane sharing too. For that budget, you might want to consider getting a B650 or B650E if there’s a deal available. It could be a better investment in terms of future-proofing without going too far over your budget. You might find some on sale for around $100-$130.
What’s your budget and location? That will help narrow it down better!
I'd recommend checking out MSI or Gigabyte boards. They usually have solid performance and reliability for gaming setups.
Make sure to evaluate your needs. Here are some boards you can check out:

These options should give you a good range to choose from.

I'm in the USA and hoping to keep it under $200, but I’d stretch a bit if I need to.
