What’s the Best OS for Streaming on a Raspberry Pi 3?

Hey everyone! I'm currently using Linux Mint and just got my hands on a Raspberry Pi 3 to experiment with. I was hoping to turn it into a TV box, so I installed Libreelec, but I'm facing issues with streaming services. The packages I tried installing didn't work either. I'm looking for an OS that can support streaming, specifically Prime Video. Should I stick with a regular OS for this, or is there something better suited for streaming? I'm pretty new to all this OS stuff, so any tips would be appreciated!

I'd recommend just going with the official Raspberry Pi OS and then installing Kodi on it. There might be some plugins for Kodi that can help you get Prime Video, although I haven't checked those in a while. Good luck!

Yeah, I tried searching for the Prime Video plugin, but it seems like it doesn't work anymore at least for what I found. Thanks for the tip anyway! ^-^

You could also consider Android. Just keep in mind that the Pi 3 might struggle with 4K playback, and many streaming apps could limit you to 720p if they work at all. Just a heads up!

Oh, that makes sense! I’ll definitely give that a shot. Thanks!
