What’s the Best PC Build for Local AI Development on a Budget?

I'm really into AI development and want to run AI modules on my own PC. I'm looking for advice on building a computer for this purpose. I've noticed that most recommended builds include high VRAM GPUs like the 5090, 4090, or 3090, but my budget is around $1800 to $2000. I've heard suggestions about using a dual GPU setup with two 5060 Ti cards with 16 GB each. Is that a practical choice? As I've never used dual GPUs before, I'm also unsure about the right CPU and PSU to pair with this setup. Any recommendations?

The right GPU really depends on your specific AI projects. I suggest checking for used 3090s, as they’re known for being a great value for machine learning. Also, opt for an LGA 1700 motherboard which will allow dual GPUs on an 8x/8x lane configuration, plus use DDR5 RAM for better performance. You can find good options on eBay, like the MSI Carbon Z690.

Thanks for the tip! But wouldn’t using dual 5060 Tis be a better budget option?
