I'm looking for a 1000W+ power supply to pair with my new 9950X3D processor and RTX 5080 graphics card. Initially, I wanted to grab the Corsair RM1000x, but I found out it's out of stock in New Zealand until March 2026 on PB Tech, which is my go-to store for parts. I also came across the Phanteks AMP 1200W, but I noticed it doesn't have many online reviews, although it has received positive feedback on PB Tech. I'd love to hear from anyone who has more experience with power supplies. What do you recommend?

Check out the MSI A1000GS and A1250GS models. Both are great quality and should be available in New Zealand. I also found the Corsair RM1000x Shift, but be aware it can have fitting issues due to its side connector layout. If you can get it to fit, it's a good option!

You might want to look at the PSU tier list. It can really help you see the best options available out there based on performance and reviews. I’ve used it to make decisions in the past and it’s been a lifesaver!
