I'm building a PC with an i9 13900k and a 5090 TUF GPU, but I'm feeling a bit confused about what wattage power supply I should get. I've ruled out 1000W already. There's a good deal on the HX1500i, but I'm not sure if that's overkill. The HX1200i is also on sale for 40 euros less, so I'm trying to figure out the best choice here.

Actually, MSI recommends having at least 1600W for the 5090 and the core ultra 9, just to be safe.
A great tool to check is PC Part Picker. Just enter all your components, and it will suggest the ideal PSU wattage.
Spot on! With just the CPU and GPU alone, you'll be looking at 848W, so I'd say 1200W feels like a solid and safe choice.

I did that, and it estimated around 999W. On some sites, it's maxed out at 1100W. A lot of folks mention that 1000W should work, and definitely 1200W. In my area, the HX1500i is about 275 euros, while the HX1200i is 235 euros. I'm just curious if that extra wattage to the 1500W is worth it or if it'll be overkill for future needs.
