I'm planning to build a new PC and want to use my Gigabyte 4090 Gaming OC and a 9800X3D processor. I'm looking for a small case for a couple of reasons: first, I dislike wasted space and want to keep things compact; second, I'm getting older and lifting heavy items is becoming less appealing. My current setup is a 10700k, 32GB RAM, and a 3070 Ti, but since I recently got the 4090 for MSRP, I'm ready to upgrade.
I'm considering the Cooler Master NR200 v2 Max as it seems to fit my GPU dimensions well and comes with a suitable PSU. However, I'm open to other suggestions for a small case that fits the following criteria: 1) It should support my components (as small as possible, but can also be ATX), 2) Have decent airflow, 3) No flashy RGB, just a lightweight mesh design is preferred, 4) Noise isn't an issue since I use a headset and am accustomed to PC sounds, and 5) Cost isn't a big concern as long as I'm not wasting money. Looking for efficiency and practicality in a small form factor. Any recommendations?

Consider the Lian Li A3. It’s compact but has surprisingly great airflow, and you can swap out the front panel for a different look later if you want. Plus, it's generally cheaper than the NR200.
The Gigabyte 4090 OC is a hefty card, which limits your options to some extent. But you might find happiness with mATX cases. The Lian Li A3 is a popular selection due to its affordable price and good ventilation. Also look into the Jonsbo Z20 for a compact mATX option, although it can be tricky to build in.
I fitted my 3090 in the NR200P V2, and while it was tight, it worked. I suggest looking for an NR200P V1 if you prefer the model; it might give you more flexibility for mounting an AIO cooler.
A great way to find the perfect case is to use PCPartPicker. Just input your components, filter by case size from smallest to largest, and see what you like. It’s a nice way to visualize your options and check if anyone else has built something similar.
The Cooler Master NR200P V2 Max is a solid choice for your setup. It's spacious enough for the 4090 and the CPU you have in mind, and it offers good airflow. If you're interested in something smaller, check out the FormD T1 or the Dan A4 H2O, but be aware that these require a bit more skill to build in. Alternatively, the SSUPD Meshlicious or Meshroom S cases are larger but offer excellent cooling and ease of build without being too heavy.
