I'm looking for a reliable solution for one-off remote assistance. I previously used LogMeIn Rescue, but their price hikes became unreasonable. I tried AnyDesk, but they charge for frequent usage. What do you all think is the best option available now? Should I just go ahead and purchase an AnyDesk license?

Have you tried using Windows' built-in Quick Assist? It's simple and doesn't require any extra costs. Just a heads up, some folks have disabled it due to security concerns from scammers, so keep that in mind.
Rustdesk is also gaining traction. It’s open-source and could be worth exploring if you want something budget-friendly without the usual licensing fees.
We primarily use TeamViewer, but I'm a fan of Splashtop SOS too. It's a solid choice if you need something straightforward and cost-effective.
You might want to check out Splashtop SOS; it’s super affordable and works well for temporary needs. A lot of people seem to like it for the pricing and efficiency.
