My friend, who isn't very tech-savvy, bought a pre-built gaming PC and is having a tough time with load times, especially in Battlefield 6. He's also playing games like Helldivers 2 and other FPS titles. The specs are an i5-14400F CPU, 16GB of RAM, and an Nvidia 4060 GPU. I'm trying to figure out if the CPU is the bottleneck or if it's the GPU that needs upgrading. If it is the GPU, would it make more sense to grab a second-hand 4080 or go for a new 5070Ti or 5080? Also, is it worth upgrading to 32GB of RAM? What upgrades would you recommend for a noticeable improvement? Thanks for your help!

Keep in mind that just upgrading the GPU won’t necessarily speed up load times; it’s more about the CPU, RAM, and storage. Make sure he's got an SSD for faster loading if he doesn’t already!
The 4060 is definitely holding things back. Have you checked the prices on used 4090s? Upgrading to 32GB RAM could help, especially depending on the games your friend plays, but the GPU is where you should focus first.
If the CPU isn't overclocked, then that's probably where the bottleneck is coming from. Its base speed of 2.5GHz might seem low, but with its boost clock at 4.7GHz, it should perform decently for most games. However, you should also consider the RAM speed and the type of storage he has because those can affect load times as well.
