Hey everyone! I need some advice on upgrading my gaming setup. Right now, I'm using a Ryzen 3800X with an AMD 5700XT and 16GB of RAM. I mainly play games like ARC Raider and BF6, and I'm looking to get better FPS and smoother gameplay at 1440p. Since I'm on a budget, I can only upgrade one component at a time. I was thinking the GPU would be the first to go, specifically considering the 9060XT. Is that the right choice? What do you guys recommend?

Honestly, I wouldn’t rely solely on your current setup for solid 1440p gaming. You might want to consider upgrading both your CPU and GPU. Upgrading to a 5600X or a 5700X3D for the CPU would help a lot. Don't forget to update your BIOS when you make that change! For the GPU, going with the 9060XT 16GB is a good move; it's great for 1440p and pretty affordable under $400. If possible, wait for Black Friday to snag a deal! As for your RAM, 16GB is fine, but upgrading to 32GB could be beneficial as prices drop.
It sounds like your GPU is the bottleneck right now, so upgrading to the 9060XT is definitely a solid choice. Just make sure to pick the 16GB version for better performance!
Appreciate the tip, TechSavvyJeff!

Thanks for the insights! Will going from 3800X to 5600X make a noticeable difference?
