I'm currently using a 3060 Ti paired with a Ryzen 5600X on a 1080p monitor, and I have about $1,000 to spend on upgrades. I'm planning to stick with the AM4 platform. What GPU and monitor combination should I look for, or do you have any other suggestions for upgrades?

I would recommend getting a 9070 XT combined with a 1440p monitor that supports 120 or 144Hz. It would be a solid upgrade! You could sell your 3060 Ti to help offset the cost a bit.
Just a heads up though, some people worry that the 5600X might bottleneck the 9070 XT. It could limit performance a bit depending on what games you play, so just keep that in mind!
