I'm looking to breathe new life into my old PC, but since my budget is tight, I can only upgrade a couple of parts at a time. Here are my current specs:
- CPU: Intel i3 10100
- GPU: GTX 1060
- RAM: 16 GB (2 x 8 GB DDR4 2666MHz)
- PSU: Cooler Master MWE 450 V2 80+ Bronze
- Motherboard: Asus H410M-E
I've already upgraded my GPU to an RX 9060 XT 16GB, and I'm now looking to upgrade my CPU. I mainly play games like Dota 2 and Valorant, but I'm leaning more towards single-player games and I also do some basic video editing and 3D modeling using After Effects and Blender. With a budget of around 450 USD (or 40,000 INR), what would be a good upgrade path for my setup?

Given your budget, you might want to look into getting a decent AM5 motherboard, a 32 GB DDR5 RAM kit, and a 7600X CPU. Just keep in mind that you'll need a PSU with at least 750 watts and three PCIe 8-pin connectors; that part could push you over budget, though. Maybe check local prices to see if you can snag a good deal!
For a solid upgrade, think about doing the CPU, motherboard, and RAM in one go. If you decide to upgrade your GPU again, you'll definitely need a new PSU too, 'cause your current CPU will bottleneck your performance. I'd recommend going with the CPU, motherboard, and RAM as your first priority.
I was actually considering upgrading the PSU along with the CPU and motherboard. I’d like to keep the CPU upgrade under $220 if possible!
Are there no decent options with AM4 for future upgrades? That might be worth considering!
