I'm looking for advice on which components I should upgrade first in my PC. Here are my current specs: CPU - Intel Core i5-8400 at 2.80GHz, 16GB of RAM, and a Nvidia GeForce 2070 RTX graphics card. Any suggestions on where to begin?

What resolution are you playing at? If you're at 1080p, upgrading all major components—CPU, motherboard, RAM, or GPU—might be necessary. You could split upgrades into two phases, one focusing on motherboard+RAM+CPU, then the GPU, depending on your budget.

I'm gaming at 1080p on a 144Hz monitor, and I have about 300 to 400 euros to spend. Any specific part suggestions?

Honestly, it might be time for a complete rebuild. Keep your GPU and drives, but consider replacing everything else. If you don't have a newer SSD for your boot drive, it might be worth adding that too! Though, if you're on a budget, you can stick with your current case or those parts that still work well.

I recommend starting with the motherboard, CPU, and RAM. Your 2070 still performs well for most games, but the i5-8400 might be bottlenecking your system. Consider upgrading to an AM5 setup with a Ryzen 7600 or 7500F, along with 32GB of RAM. This should significantly boost your gaming experience and remove any limitations that older components might cause.

I'm looking to spend around 300-400 euros. Can you suggest specific components for that budget?

I agree with TechSavvyDude. But the budget matters. If you want to save, let me know how much you're willing to spend, and I can help you narrow it down.

Thanks! My initial thought is to stick to a budget of about $350-400.
