What’s the Best Upgrade Path for My PC to Move to 1440p Gaming?

Hey everyone! I'm currently gaming on a rig with an R5 5600, a 3060 ti, and 32GB of RAM. I'm finally ready to make the leap from 1080p to 1440p gaming, but I'm not quite sure how to approach the upgrades. I'm considering getting a 9070 XT graphics card and possibly upgrading to either the 5700X3D or 5800X3D CPU, since I think my current 5600 might bottleneck the performance but I'm sticking with AM4 for now. My shopping list includes the 9070XT, a new CPU, and a 1440p monitor. Should I save up and buy everything at once, or can I purchase the upgrades one at a time? If so, which part should I upgrade first?

Honestly, the 5800X3D and 5700X3D are super pricey right now. You might want to consider sticking with the 5800X or 5700X, or even look at going AM5 if you can. It could save you some cash in the long run.

Yeah, I hear you on that. The prices can be killer! Plus, if I can avoid changing my entire setup, that’d be ideal.

I’d recommend upgrading your GPU and monitor first, then tackle the CPU later if you hit any performance issues. Moving to 1440p will really put more load on the GPU, so that should be your priority!
