I built my gaming PC about 4-5 years ago and haven't updated any hardware since then. I'm currently really into Baldur's Gate 3, but I'm only getting around 20 FPS during cutscenes, which is quite rough. I'm looking for advice on what components I should upgrade first to improve my gaming performance. Here's my current setup:
- GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core Processor
- Motherboard: B450 TOMAHAWK MAX II
- RAM: 16 GB
I'm not very knowledgeable about computer hardware, and while I helped a little in building this PC, my friend did most of the work. If you need more information, just ask!

The biggest issue holding you back is your GPU. The 1050 Ti is pretty outdated at this point. If you’re on a budget, you might want to check out the used market; something like a $90 GTX 1070 would really help. I’d also recommend the RTX 2070 Super for around $170—it’s a great mid-tier option with good performance.
Thank you so much!! That's super helpful!
