What’s the best way to avoid crimped GPU power cables?

I'm currently using a full ATX case with a 6750 XT. There's only about two inches of clearance between the GPU's power socket and the side panel, which causes the power cables to be slightly crimped. While it's worked fine for four years, I'm upgrading soon to a 5070ti and I'm worried about potential issues with the 12VHPWR connector. I've seen recommendations for 90-degree adapters, but I've been advised against third-party power cables due to pinout discrepancies even between identical PSU models. I'm looking for a reliable solution and I'm open to getting a new case if needed. Are 90-degree adapters genuinely safe, or would a horizontal mount be a better choice?

It's true that the pin differences usually occur where the cable connects to the PSU. The connectors for the motherboard and GPU are standardized, so if you go for an adapter from a well-known brand, it should be safe to use. Just make sure to do a bit of research on the manufacturer beforehand!

Got any specific brands you trust? I heard CableMod stopped making adapters because of safety concerns.

Who do you recommend for high-quality adapters?

Here are some options to consider:
1. Get a new PSU that comes with angled cables.
2. Look for a GPU with the power plug not located on the side.
3. Consider using an angled cable extension, which is typically safer than adapters.

Is there a specific brand of cable extension you find to be the most reliable, or do you think they're all risky?
