What’s the Best Way to Build a Secure Company Chatbot?

I'm working on creating an AI solution at my job and I'm a bit overwhelmed. The goal is to develop a chatbot similar to Copilot that can access company data securely. I've already started working on it but discovered that my current setup struggles with math functions. I began exploring various options like AI Foundry, Cognitive Services, and even local LLM solutions. I'm still learning the ropes, and I'm unsure if Copilot Studio would be the right fit after all.

I know that understanding our data is crucial, especially when it comes to permissions and security, which adds another layer to this project. I want to focus my efforts effectively, so could anyone provide suggestions on the best path to take without getting bogged down in areas that may not be directly useful, like linear regression or complex ML concepts? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I think Copilot Studio is a solid choice for what you're trying to achieve. Building your own LLM for just a chatbot could be overkill. We’ve had success rolling out SharePoint Agents using it. It's designed to be user-friendly—just set it up with the data parameters you want, and it can keep it straightforward and secure without needing too much heavy lifting on your end.

I feel the same way! I like the look of Copilot Studio, but it seems to struggle with things like math calculations. Have you found it does well with other tasks?
