What’s the best way to keep my PC clean if I smoke indoors?

As a heavy smoker of both tobacco and pot, I'm looking for advice on how to protect my PC while I smoke indoors. I know you're probably going to suggest I smoke outside, but my neighbors aren't fans of the smell and tend to complain. If there are no effective ways to protect my computer, how often should I be cleaning it?

If you're serious about keeping your PC clean, you might want to think about switching to a vape. While it still leaves some residue, the tar that clogs up your components is less of an issue than with conventional smoking.

Good point! Vaporizers have a significantly lower impact on both the environment and your health.

Exactly! Plus, it’s less odorous and can help you mitigate the damage to your setup.

Honestly, if you're smoking indoors, you might want to clean your PC as often as you can. Tobacco smoke leaves residue that binds to surfaces, making future clean-ups harder. Some folks even suggest cleaning it weekly, but daily could be ideal if you want to keep it in top shape.

Yeah, but if you keep smoking indoors, it's going to be a constant battle with buildup. Just a heads up!

I agree! It's tough to keep things clean when smoke gets everywhere.

If smoking is a must indoors, then definitely get into a habit of cleaning every six months or so. Just remember, tobacco has a way of lingering and making a mess, so it’s going to be essential to stay on top of it.

That’s about what I do too, and my PC is still running well!

Sounds reasonable! Just keep an eye on it.

I'd just recommend that you stop smoking indoors altogether. It’ll save you a lot of hassle with cleaning, and you might even find you smoke less! But if you insist on still doing it, cleaning your PC every few months might help too.

The best advice honestly is to try to quit smoking indoors. If you won't, at least consider using an air purifier to minimize smoke exposure. Nicotine sticks to plastic like glue, and dust just loves to settle on it. Believe me, your PC will thank you in the long run!

Definitely! An air purifier could help a lot, but still, it's not the same as smoking outside.

Exactly! It's tough for the electronics when they catch all that tar from the smoke.
