What’s the best way to remove a contact I regret adding?

So, I gave my phone number to a guy I met today, but honestly, I'm feeling pretty weird about it now. Is there a way to remove his contact from my phone without having to block him? I feel like blocking him might cause some awkwardness since I might run into him again. Changing my number feels extreme, but I'm starting to consider it. Any tips on how to handle this?

Honestly, just block him and be done with it. It's the easiest way to avoid any future hassle.

Deleting his contact won't stop him from having your number. If he tries to call or text, you could just ignore it. Telling him not to contact you could work too, but I get that you might not want to have that conversation.

If you really don’t want him to have your number, just delete him from your contacts. It’ll show up as an unknown number if he texts you again, and you can just act like you don't recognize him.

Changing your number might seem like a lot, but if you're really uncomfortable, it could be a good option. Just keep in mind, you could always just ignore him or make an excuse like your parents weren't cool with you sharing your number or something.
