I recently installed postmarketOS (arm64) on my Chromebook, but I'm facing some issues. The installation doesn't support Flatpak, and I couldn't get much help on GitLab to figure out why or if it's fixable. I tried installing the latest version of postmarketOS with a different desktop environment from within Linux itself, but rebooting only takes me back to the original installation. I also can't revert to ChromeOS because the method for reinstalling it won't work on my non-x86 device. I'm kind of stuck and looking for advice on how to uninstall or properly replace the current installation.

You might want to explore some lesser-known distros that support arm64. This site lists a bunch of active options you might not have considered yet! It can be misleading, but aarch64 is just another name for arm64. Good luck in your search!
Honestly, I’m a bit confused about your arm64 limitation. There are plenty of normal distros for that architecture. It’d be helpful to know which Chromebook model you’re using, but you should definitely check if there are better options available.
Operating systems usually don’t have an uninstall option, you know? When you install a new OS, the installer generally reformats the disk. Are you looking to revert to your previous setup, or do you just want a blank machine? That would help clarify your situation!
The existing OS prevents me from installing a replacement in this case.
I found that most resources pointed only to Arch Linux ARM and postmarketOS for my Chromebook. If you have other recommendations, I’d love to hear them. I mainly want to use it for web browsing and some Flatpak apps.
