What’s the Best Way to Use AI for Photo Editing?

I'm trying to improve a few selfies and headshot photos that were taken in poor lighting. I'm looking to create a professional-looking headshot, similar to what you'd get from a photo booth. I've considered using AI for editing, but I'm not very tech-savvy and don't want to risk being scammed. I've tried some free tools and even ChatGPT, but they haven't produced the results I want, often distorting my face. Ideally, I'd love to find someone who could help me with this, or if there's an app that works well, I'm open to that as well. I often forget to do this when I have time, and when I do remember, I'm usually not in the right mindset. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I see ads for AI editing tools online all the time. A quick Google search might show you some reputable options. Just a heads up though, the paid version of ChatGPT might not do the trick for photo edits due to some limitations, so it’s best to look for services that specialize in that.

Are you looking for ways to let AI automate the editing, or are you more interested in finding someone to do it for you? I mean, both approaches have their merits! If you're up for learning, I can recommend some free tools that are decent for basic edits. Otherwise, hiring someone might save you time and effort, especially if you're busy!

I’m good with either approach. I want to remove backgrounds and enhance lighting, so if there's a simple tool I could figure out, I’d love that! But I wouldn’t mind paying someone who knows what they’re doing either.

For image editing, I’ve heard that Qwen Image Edit is a great choice if you have local hardware powerful enough to run it. But it might not be ideal for someone who's not too tech-savvy, especially if you’re using a Chromebook or an iPhone 15. Maybe look for a user-friendly app that doesn’t require too much setup instead.

I get that! Setting up something like Qwen can be a hassle on basic devices. Have you thought about just using an easy photo editing app on your phone? There are plenty that can handle shadows and lighting pretty well without needing a powerful computer.
