What’s the Best Way to Wipe Your PC Before Selling It?

Hey everyone, I need some advice on how to safely wipe my PC before selling it. I've mostly used it for gaming, so there aren't any personal files on it besides a few games. I'm wondering if a factory reset would be enough to delete all my information, like passwords from websites. Is there a more effective way to ensure everything is completely cleared out? Sorry if this sounds like a silly question; I really appreciate any suggestions!

A good move is to take out your old drives and buy a new boot drive for the sale. Install a fresh OS on the new drive and make sure to destroy the old drives if you're super worried about your data being recoverable. Just keep it close until you’re sure it's taken care of!

What if I want to use my old SSD in my new setup? Do I need to purchase Windows again, or can I find my old activation code?

If you're selling your PC and still want an operating system on it, you might want to think about securely erasing the drives first. Once that's done, you can reinstall the OS to make sure any personal data is wiped.
