I've recently made the switch to Linux Mint to escape the sluggish performance of Windows, but I've hit a few bumps along the way. My setup includes an AMD processor and I've been using a TP-Link Archer Tx20U Plus, which relies on a Windows driver that seems to be causing connection issues. I've also tried using USB tethering for internet access, but it looks like my phone is no longer being recognized as a USB device, which complicates things even further. Can anyone recommend a reliable WiFi adapter that will work with my system? I'm considering a single-state adapter but would love some guidance.

For decent compatibility with Linux, I've found that Qualcomm and Intel WiFi adapters usually work the best right out of the box. I recommend getting an Intel AX 2xx series card. They’re pretty common and often affordable. Personally, I'm using the AX 201, and it's worked smoothly with all the Linux distros I've tried.
Just a heads up, the AX201 and 211 won't run properly on AMD processors. The AX210, however, should work with pretty much anything!
