So, I was nannying and kept hearing this weird vibrating noise, and I traced it to the fridge. I found an iPhone in there, on airplane mode and hidden behind some groceries. When I asked the family about it, they said they dropped the phone in water once, and now it only works if it's on airplane mode and stored in the fridge. I'm wondering if there's something real going on here or if I'm just overthinking it. Is it really possible for a phone to work like that, or is there more to the story?

Look, I think you’re justified in being concerned. The family’s explanation doesn’t add up at all. How does someone conclude that their broken phone could be fixed by chilling it in a fridge? Plus, they must have a reason to keep it hidden there. I wouldn’t worry too much but keep your eyes open!
Girl, why did you even ask them about it? That's a bit personal for a nanny job. I mean, unless it was a device for emergencies, it's not really your business. But it does raise some red flags!
Honestly, this all sounds a bit sketchy to me. I mean, how would someone figure out that putting a wet phone in the fridge would make it work again? It seems more likely this is someone's secret phone, maybe for an affair or something. Definitely not something to brush off!
Right? It’s also weird that it was vibrating on airplane mode! Was there an alarm or something set? Sounds fishy.
I think it could just be an emergency phone for the kids or something. Like they might not want it used when you're around. Just keep that in mind and try to not get involved too much. You don’t want to walk into drama you don’t need!
This is a classic case of total BS if I've ever seen one. How would you even come up with that idea? It's not like putting a phone that’s been in water into the fridge is a common fix for tech issues. It sounds like they’re hiding something for sure!
I quit yesterday because the dad was totally hitting on me! So, this fridge phone thing felt like the icing on the cake. Definitely strange timing!
