I'm using a ThinkPad, and I typically type without a problem, but I can't seem to open any commands in my game using the tilde key. For me, the tilde is mapped to 'Alt 1', but in the game, the inventory is set to that key, and I can't change the inventory binding. I was wondering if anyone else has faced something similar and what I could do to fix it. I think I found a solution though! After trying several things, switching my language setting to English helped, and now I can open the commands by pressing right shift + 0.

Sounds like a classic keyboard layout issue! Since you're using a QWERTZ layout, the tilde key might not work the same way as it does on a standard QWERTY. If the game isn't recognizing the combination, consider remapping it using something like AutoHotKey if that's possible. You can set it to another key that works for you and avoid the binding conflict!
It might help to check the game settings directly! Some games allow you to change the keybindings, so see if you can set the tilde to something else, like alt+1. If that's not an option, connecting a regular keyboard could be a workaround too, but I get that's not always feasible.
