What’s the deal with UEFI System Firmware updates on my ASUS motherboard?

Hey everyone! I've been using fwupd on Ubuntu 24.04, and I noticed three items regarding my hardware/software: my SSD, the UEFI dbx list, and something called System Firmware. I understand the SSD and the dbx list, but I'm confused about the System Firmware. It mentions "UEFI System Resource Table device," but it's showing as not available for updates. I have a custom-built ASUS motherboard, and I suspect ASUS isn't the best at rolling out updates for fwupd. Can anyone explain what this System Firmware does? Does it get updated during regular BIOS updates? I usually handle my BIOS updates via USB directly.

Not all manufacturers send their firmware updates to the Linux Vendor Firmware Service (LVFS). Even when they do, it can vary by product. The term "UEFI System Resource" is a bit vague, but if it refers to the UEFI System Resource Table, it’s essentially a list of embedded hardware and firmware components on your motherboard. This usually doesn’t change frequently, but you should receive updates for it through your regular UEFI firmware updates.

Thanks for the info! So, just to clarify: when you say "regular UEFI firmware updates," do you mean the manual BIOS updates I perform via USB? I’m trying to keep everything secure and updated, and I’m hoping that regularly updating my BIOS and the dbx list will be enough for system security.
