I'm looking for a straightforward way to back up my entire operating system, including all settings and programs, before I make some changes. I've come across a lot of different backup solutions, but they all seem overly complicated. Is there a simple, user-friendly method to back everything up? Please explain in a way that's easy to understand because I'm not very tech-savvy, especially compared to how straightforward it is on Mac. Thanks!

If you're looking for something really simple, try Foxclone. It's reliable and doesn't over-complicate things like some other tools do.

Have you checked out Timeshift? It’s a user-friendly option that focuses on backing up system files and settings, though it doesn't save personal files. It’s pretty straightforward to use!

Yeah, Timeshift is great! Just remember, you’ll need to back up your personal files separately.

I personally use CloneZilla. It's free and open-source, and while it’s a bit more involved, it can do a great job of creating backups.
