I'm looking to upgrade my PC in the simplest way possible because I struggle to keep track of all the different component specifications. I want to avoid buying parts only to find that I need to upgrade something else as well. I'm trying to source as many parts as possible second-hand, provided they offer an upgrade from my current setup. Right now, I'm playing driving games connected through a cable on my Meta Quest, and it's clear that my current hardware isn't up to the task. Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: MSI A320M Pro-VH
- GPU: Radeon RX570 8GB
- CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 (8 core)
- RAM: 32GB
What would be a straightforward upgrade for me?

Have you thought about your budget? It's also important to know the wattage of your power supply.
First things first, you should update the BIOS for your motherboard. After that, I'd suggest looking into a used Ryzen 5 5600 or 5600X as your CPU upgrade. For your GPU, consider getting a used Radeon 6700 or 6750 XT. Just make sure that your power supply can handle the new components!
Thank you, I’ve had a quick search and I think I can get both!

I think £300-£400 is the max I can justify, although I might stretch it a bit if buying from a retailer and using credit. I really want to spend less, but I’m open to it if the upgrade’s worth it. By the way, my power supply is 700W.
