What’s the Fastest Way to Transfer Large Files Over a LAN?

I'm looking for a speedy solution to transfer files larger than 100GB over my local network. Currently, I'm using Windows 11 and don't have a USB-A external hard drive to rely on for this task. I've tried using Resilio Sync, but it's only managing to transfer at around 14MB/s, which feels quite slow compared to my usual Ethernet speeds that range from 150 to 200MB/s with Starlink. Can anyone suggest a method or tool that could help me achieve transfer speeds closer to what I normally experience?

Just a heads up, when you're seeing those speeds, you might be looking at 150-200 Mbit/s, not MByte/s with Starlink. For Gigabit LAN, you should be able to transfer at around 100 MByte/s maximally. Since you're getting about 14 MByte/s, that translates roughly to 100 Mbit/s. To improve that speed, you may need to look at upgrading your networking hardware or optimizing your current setup. Just a thought!

Oh, I’m using Windows 11 for both devices.

If your devices are connected through the network, the simplest way is to just use the file manager to transfer the files. You can add the other device as a network drive which often speeds things up a bit.

What operating systems are you using on the devices you're transferring to and from?
