I'm working with a secondary setup mainly for testing and tinkering. I'm curious about what Intel CPU would be equivalent to my Phenom II 955 running at 4GHz. It's quite robust, as it handles Fallout 4 at ultra settings with a stable 60 fps. For context, my Cinebench R15 scores are 100 for single-core and 385 for multi-core. Can anyone help me figure out the Intel counterpart?

The Phenom II series was mainly up against Intel’s Core2Quad series, like the Q6000 and Q9000. The Phenom II 955 actually has similar benchmark scores to the Intel Core2Quad Q9550. Check it out: [here](https://www.cpubenchmark.net/compare/368vs1049/AMD-Phenom-II-X4-955-vs-Intel-Core2-Quad-Q9550).

Those old Phenom X4s were a blast! I used to have a Phenom II 965 and I think an i5-3570K would be a solid comparison for your setup. It's a bit newer, but performance-wise they’re in the same ballpark.

Totally agree! I paired mine with a GTX 970 and it handles games like BeamNG Drive at around 80-90 fps without any issues.

The i5-3570K is definitely faster. You might also look at the Q9650 on the LGA775—it’s pretty close to a Phenom II, or maybe an i5-750. AMD was lagging a bit behind at that time.
