I'm moving to a different country soon, and I need to replace a part of my laptop charger to fit their wall socket. I believe it might be possible to buy this part separately instead of getting an entirely new charger. Can anyone tell me what this part (circled in red in the image) is called? It would really help me in finding the right one. Thanks!

It sounds like you need a standard appliance power cable. The plug you're referring to might be an IEC C5, which is a newer type compared to the older IEC C13. The C13 is a six-sided shape, while the C5 is slightly different. Just look for one of these when buying!
Keep in mind that it’s not just about the plug; the voltage from sockets varies between the US and other countries. Simply replacing the plug might not be enough. Be sure to check if your charger can handle the different voltage.
Most laptop and phone chargers are rated for worldwide voltage (100 - 240V, 50/60Hz), so you should be good. Just double-checking is definitely a smart move!
Yeah, the adapter should handle 100-240V input, so it should work fine. Appreciate your help!

Thanks! It's great to have the specific name of the plug. I thought it was something proprietary, which is why I asked.
