I'm really looking forward to when ChatGPT can remember everything we've ever told it and analyze all our past conversations instantly. I believe this would enhance my experience dramatically. Right now, individual chats become cluttered and slow, and I've had to come up with ways to manage that, like writing summaries to share at the start of new chats. I'm excited about the prospect of a cloud memory where all my data is stored, making it easy to access when updates are available. Do you think this could happen within the next year or two? What are your thoughts?

I think it's going to happen sooner than later if they see the benefits. Not too long ago, it had zero memory, and now Plus users already have some memory features.
Remember, LLMs like ChatGPT don't actually remember things between sessions. They preload the entire conversation for context, which creates a limit called the "context window." They've started working on larger windows, but there's still a long way to go before they can handle everything.
It would be awesome to have ChatGPT load all our chat history each time instead of just fitting it in that limited window!
It already has a sort of cloud memory feature linked with your account. You might want to check if that's integrated with your service.
How do you actually integrate that? I'd love to set it up!
That's true! Just a little bit of memory on its side is already a significant improvement.
