Hey everyone! I might be asking a silly question, but I'm eager to start programming a game and I've chosen C++. However, I'm having trouble right from the start. I'm trying to find Visual Studio Community 2022, but all I see are links for 2026. I'm starting to lose my mind over this! I know Python is usually the go-to for beginners, but I'm really set on using C++. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Totally agree! If you go with Godot, you can actually use C++ for module implementation. But honestly, coding a game purely in C++ could get really tricky and frustrating, making it easy to burn out before you finish your project!

If you're looking for older versions of Visual Studio, there's a dedicated page for downloads. Just look for it, and you should find what you need!

Yeah, just grab the 2026 version. It should work fine for your needs!

I’m curious why you’re sticking to C++. A lot of people say, "Make games, not engines." You might want to check out tools like Unity or Godot—they could be more beginner-friendly!

You don't need to stress about the version too much. Just go ahead and download the latest Community version available, and you should be good to go!
