Hey everyone! I'm dealing with a frustrating problem. My Ethernet connection was working perfectly fine yesterday, but it won't connect after I turned my PC on today. I've tested the cable on my laptop, and it functions without any hiccups, so I know the issue doesn't lie there or with the router.
When I connect the cable to my PC, I see a quick blink of the light, then it turns off. In the Network Adapters section, I can see the Realtek Gaming GbE Family Controller along with a few WAN miniports. The only change I made recently was shutting down my PC using a timer command. Since that shutdown, my Ethernet hasn't worked at all. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, setting speed and duplex to auto, and disabling power-saving features, but nothing seems to resolve the issue. Has anyone experienced something similar? What else can I try?

It's worth noting that sometimes BIOS settings can mess with device functionality. Before making any significant changes, double-check your data backups just to be safe. If you haven't yet, consider resetting the network settings in Windows or checking if any recent updates could have impacted the driver.
Have you tried uninstalling the Ethernet device from Device Manager and then restarting your PC? Also, when you reinstalled the drivers, were you using the latest version from the Realtek site? Make sure to check the Power Management settings for your Ethernet adapter and ensure that the option to allow the computer to turn off this device is not selected.
