Where do I start if I want to build my own computer with no prior knowledge?

I'm completely new to computers and really want to learn how to build my own. I have no experience or understanding of the topic at all, and I'm not looking for a gaming rig or anything too complex. I just want a basic everyday PC. Can anyone give me some advice on where I should begin to learn and what resources I could use?

I'd suggest getting your hands on an old computer that someone doesn't want anymore. Start by taking it apart and putting it back together—it’s a great way to learn about how everything fits together without the pressure of messing up a new build!

That's solid advice! Hands-on experience is so valuable.

If you're serious about learning, consider looking at A+ certification courses, which cover the basics in depth. It will give you the knowledge you need and prepare you to build your own without too many mistakes.

Check out some YouTube tutorials! A channel I really like is Linus Tech Tips—they cover a lot of basics and building tips. Don't be too intimidated; it's pretty hard to break things when you're just starting out. And always feel free to Google any terms you come across that you're unsure about!

If you can build with Legos, you can definitely build a computer! Just start by watching some build guides on YouTube. There are tons of videos that will walk you through the process step-by-step. It'll make things a lot clearer!

Exactly! And even if you make mistakes, you'll learn a lot along the way!
