Hey everyone! I'm diving into my first PC build after more than 12 years, and I'm looking for some advice on which 420 AIO cooler to go with. My options are the Arctic Liquid Freezer III ARGB, Corsair H170I Elite, and Phanteks 420D30. This is my first time using an AIO instead of air cooling, and I'm also excited to make it my first RGB build. I'm using Corsair QX140 fans in my Lian Li O11D Evo RGB case and I'm particularly focused on minimizing noise and keeping good thermals for my 9800X3D. Also, I noticed the Arctic Liquid Freezer III is listed for $159 on Amazon, but it makes you choose a style that says LF II instead of LF III—any thoughts on that? Thanks for any help!

Honestly, if you’re worried about noise, AIOs with larger fans can help. I think your idea of using all 140mm fans is smart since they typically run at lower RPMs, which means less noise. Plus, they look really sleek in a build. Just make sure the cooler fits in your case since the 420s are pretty big!
I'm using the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420 ARGB in my Corsair 7000D, cooling a 14700K. I switched from the Corsair H150i because it had some weird coil noise. So far, the Arctic has been great—temps stay around 65°C during gaming, although my fans do make a bit of noise with my 5090.
If I could find an LFIII 420, I'd be all set, but it looks like I can only find the LFII version.
Cool, thanks for the advice! I'm really trying to keep the noise down since my room is right next to the bedroom.
