I'm trying to install 7-Zip on my computer, but both installers I've downloaded trigger a popup from Windows Defender. I'm really unsure if either installer is safe to use or which one I should choose. Can anyone help me out with this?

Just a heads-up, 7-Zip does occasionally get flagged as malware by several antivirus programs. It's usually okay, but always double-check you’re sourcing it from the official site.
Make sure you’re downloading the installer directly from the official 7-Zip website (7zip.org). Sometimes, security software flags 7-Zip as malware, but that’s usually a false positive. If you're seeing a UAC (User Account Control) popup when you try to install, that's normal, but pay attention to what the Windows Defender message says just in case.
I’ve heard people mention NanaZip as an alternative to 7-Zip, but I’m not really familiar with it either. If anyone has experience with that, let us know!
I just retried the installation, and it seems to be working fine now. The pop-up is just the UAC one this time, not a security warning.
