Hey folks! I'm on a quest to find the best AI-powered code editor to boost my daily workflow, and I'd really appreciate your insights. I'm considering several options: Cursor AI, Windsurf, Cody (from Sourcegraph), GitHub Copilot, and Trae. Here's what I'm looking to get feedback on: 1. How well does it autocomplete and explain code? 2. What's the speed and resource usage like? 3. Is the pricing justified based on the features? 4. How context-aware is it? 5. What's the overall IDE/UI experience? Would love to hear your real-world experiences with any of these editors. Thanks!

If you're just starting out, I’d definitely recommend GitHub Copilot! It's super helpful for debugging and error handling, especially if you're still learning. All the editors have their perks, but you really need to master how to prompt them to get the best results. I'd suggest trying out each one while they're offering free trials. Good luck!

I'd steer clear of Trae. I've heard some pretty concerning things about it uploading your data without consent. Cursor, on the other hand, has been solid for me!

Why not let AI help you decide? Experiment with each one, and see which fits your style!

I'm a big fan of Cody along with Cline in VSCode. Cody is fantastic for quick questions and smaller updates, with one straightforward price and minimal rate limits. I switch to Cline when I need something more intensive across multiple files, and I love that it offers different model options based on the task complexity.

If you're into classic setups, give vim a shot. It’s not AI, but it can be super powerful in the right hands!
