I'm looking for recommendations on the best AI tools for troubleshooting specific IT issues. I work in a small IT company with just three people, and we support a few small business clients. Most of our clients use Windows servers with Active Directory, and some run on-premises Exchange servers. Typically, our client PCs are on Windows 11 with Microsoft Office installed. I currently use Perplexity, especially since I have a Pro account, but I often find it lacking when I face complex technical problems, like resolving Exchange update failures or figuring out which GPO setting to adjust. While it's helpful for writing emails and documentation, I usually check any AI advice manually before acting on it. What are your experiences with AI or LLMs for troubleshooting?

Just a note, make sure you're not putting customer data into your Perplexity account. I'd stick with Copilot for now, especially since it offers better data privacy. I’m surprised you find Perplexity lacking; have you tried adjusting the model settings based on the questions you’re asking? Do you have an IT background?
Honestly, I think the best troubleshooting often comes down to an actual person rather than AI. If you’re looking for software, I’d suggest Copilot for O365—it’s a safer choice for company data.
I've been using MS Copilot, and I find it quite effective at times since it seems to be trained on their own documentation. However, just like any other AI, it can sometimes lead you down the wrong path.
If clients are paying for your expertise, it’s a bit concerning that you’d consider relying on AI for troubleshooting. Why not just let the AI take your job?

Yeah, but it still tends to get some PowerShell commands wrong. Just a heads up!
