I'm just starting out in the tech industry and have mostly been focused on frontend development so far. Now, I'm eager to dive into backend development but I'm a bit lost on which framework to choose from my options. I'm considering:

* Node.js
* .NET
* Django
* Spring Boot

I'm looking for advice regarding:
1. Popularity and job market demand.
2. Ease of learning for someone with my background.

If you already know JavaScript, I suggest creating a basic REST app with Node.js using express. Then rebuild it without express or third-party libraries. That way, you'll grasp the fundamentals of async web backends. Once you understand the basics, pick another framework and build a real project. The framework itself won't matter too much as long as you have the core concepts down.

It really depends on where you're located and the specific industries you're interested in. Different areas may favor different technologies, so it's good to have a look at local job postings to get an idea.

Spring Boot is a solid choice if you want to position yourself well for job opportunities. It’s widely used in enterprise applications, making it good for employability. However, if I’m building smaller full stack projects, I prefer using TypeScript for the entire stack as it simplifies things for me.

While Django is great, you might want to check out FastAPI as it's gaining much traction in the Python community. FastAPI is powerful and flexible, plus it generates nice API documentation automatically. For database models, SQLModel works really well with it.
