I'm deciding between two gaming builds that have the same RAM, motherboard, cooling, etc. The difference lies in the CPU and GPU:
1. AMD Ryzen 5 7600X paired with an RX 9070XT for $1250.
2. AMD Ryzen 7 7700X paired with a 5070 for $1220.
Since I mainly play Valorant, I want to know if the 7600X will be sufficient to achieve stable 300+ FPS at 1440p with medium to high settings. If it can, I might choose the 9070XT instead. I also play other games like Rainbow Six, but Valorant is my top priority.

I'd personally go with the 7600X and 9070XT combo. The difference in gaming performance between the 7600X and 7700X isn’t huge, and the 9070XT just crushes the 5070 in benchmarks. Plus, for medium e-sports settings, both setups should hit that 300 FPS mark easily!
I think the 7700X with the 5070 will give you better overall performance, but for sheer power, the 9070XT is definitely the way to go. It's just a stronger card!
Honestly, both combinations should pull 300+ FPS in medium settings for Valorant. But I think the 9070XT is the better long-term investment due to its superior VRAM and potential.
If it were me, I'd recommend the 9070XT with a 9600X instead. The 9070XT's performance has improved with AMD's latest driver updates, and the 9600X offers a slight edge for gaming compared to the 7700X. I recently saw benchmarks showing 450 to 480 FPS in Valorant at 1440p with that setup. Pretty impressive!

No way that's true! But I checked, and for e-sports titles, you might be onto something.
