I'm currently using a Ryzen 7 7700 for both gaming and streaming on the same PC. I'm considering an upgrade to either the Ryzen 7 7800X3D or the Ryzen 9 7900X because my current setup doesn't handle both tasks well. I've updated my BIOS and can run either CPU without any issues. Can anyone recommend which one would provide better performance? Here's my PC build: Ryzen 7 7700, MSI AIO D360, 4070 Super, MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk, MSI 850W PSU, and 64GB RAM at 5200MHz.

Have you considered the EPYC 4005? It’s worth checking price comparisons in your area since it might be a budget-friendly option with decent performance, but I understand performance is your main concern.
Are you using your GPU's NVENC for streaming? That could help offload some of the work from your CPU, but it sounds like you might still be feeling CPU bottlenecks with your current setup.
Yeah, I am using NVENC, but it still feels like the CPU is struggling.
I looked into that already, and the price difference isn't significant—it's about 40 bucks. I'm mainly focused on which would perform better.
