Hey everyone! My girlfriend is an interior designer looking to build a PC primarily for 3Ds Max rendering, and the CPU choice is crucial. I'm considering the following options:
1. Intel Core i7 14700k – 17,299 UAH ($410)
2. AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D – 17,999 UAH ($425)
3. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D – 23,999 UAH ($570)
4. AMD Ryzen 9 9900X – 21,150 UAH ($500)
5. Intel Core i9 14900K – 23,800 UAH ($565)
Since I'm in Ukraine, prices vary a bit. What's the best value for my money? Also, I'm considering GPUs like:
1. RTX 5060 TI 16GB – 23,999 UAH ($570)
2. RTX 5070 – 28,000 UAH ($660)
Are the pricier options worth it, or will the more affordable ones suffice? Should I get a more expensive CPU with a cheaper GPU, or the other way around? Thanks for your help!

Just a heads up, the budget for the whole PC is around $1500 if you’re building from scratch. Make sure to keep that in mind when selecting the parts.
For what it's worth, the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D could be a good call—it’s solid for rendering with good budget control. You might also want to check out the RX 9060 XT for your GPU if the prices align!
Hey there! Don't go for the Intel 13th-14th generations; they have a lot of issues, like overheating, which Intel has yet to fully resolve. If you're looking at AMD, I suggest the Ryzen 9 7950X or 9950X for better performance. If you're on a budget, the 7900X or 9900X are solid choices too, especially if you don’t need the x3D variants since they’re mainly for gaming. For Intel, the Core Ultra series like the 265K is another great option; it's reliable and good for productivity!
I heard the 265K is quite affordable and performs well, but what about the issues with 13th and 14th gen Intel? Do the Ultra series have the same problems?
Also, can you explain why the 9900X is recommended over x3D? Is it just performance, or is there more to it?
For productivity, you want more threads, which means the Ryzen 9 options are typically better. The x3D models are great for gaming but not necessarily needed for rendering tasks. Aim for the best GPU you can afford, especially for 3D rendering—NVIDIA has better support software-wise. A minimum of 16GB VRAM is recommended, so the 5060Ti 16GB is decent, but if your budget allows, aim for the 5070 Ti or something higher if you can swing it!
Thanks for the clarification! Is the 5060Ti better than the 5070 with 12GB? I'm trying to grab the best deal for my budget.
Just so you know, the 5070 generally performs better, especially for rendering. The extra VRAM can help with larger projects.

Thanks for the tip! I'll check out the RX 9060 XT prices!
