I'm putting together a new PC and have already bought most of the components except the motherboard and CPU. I'm planning to pair my CPU with an RTX 4070 and currently game at 1080p, but I'm looking to upgrade to 1440p soon. I need recommendations on whether to go for the i5 14600K, which is cheaper, or the Ryzen 7 9700X, which is a bit more expensive. I'm going to keep this PC for over 4 years and I play games like Valorant, GTA, Fortnite, and Roblox, plus I stream while I play. Any advice or recommendations would be really helpful!

While I’m not a pro, I ended up going for a Ryzen 7700 after I considered Intel initially. I was advised to pick Ryzen because Intel has had some issues. My suggestion would definitely be to go for Ryzen if you want something that will be reliable over time, even if it costs a bit more. It's worth the safety net!
If you're looking for a budget-friendly option, check out the Ryzen 5 7600X. It performs similarly to the i5 14600K and is more affordable than the 9700X, so it's a solid choice. Plus, the 7600X has a strong future support path!
How long do you think the 7600X will last? Can it handle streaming and multitasking with Discord and browser tabs open while gaming?
