I'm building a new PC and need help deciding between a few CPU options. I'm really into story-driven games like Horizon Forbidden West, God of War, and Forza Horizon, but I also do a lot of video editing. The CPUs I'm considering are the R5 7600, R5 7600X, and R7 7700. The prices for all three are nearly the same right now in my city, so that's not an issue. I'm especially curious if the R7 7700 would provide a significant boost for video editing. By the way, if there are any comparable Intel options, I'd love to hear about those too!

Honestly, if the prices are similar, I don’t see why you wouldn’t go for the R7 7700. It’s definitely a solid choice for both gaming and video editing! It might lose a bit in single-core tasks, but it usually shines in multi-core performance, which is great for editing.
But keep in mind, the 7600X has higher clock speeds. Not sure if that will make a difference for your games.
