Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my CPU to pair it with my RX 7800 XT, and I'm torn between the 7800X3D and the 9700X. I've heard both options are solid, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on which one would be better for gaming.

Both the 7800X3D and the 9700X are great choices, but it really comes down to your budget. If you can get a bundle for the 7800X3D at $599, that’s a solid deal. The 9700X is slightly cheaper at $489, but both will perform well. Just keep in mind the prices when deciding!
Same here! I'm not into overclocking either, so it's good to know both options are strong without the extra tweaking.
It might help to know what types of games you play. The 7800X3D generally offers better performance in games that utilize extra cache, leading to higher 1% lows and a smoother experience. If you're mainly playing demanding games, it's worth the investment. However, if you're looking to save a bit, the 9700X is still a fantastic choice and handles most games really well.
I usually play War Thunder, along with newer titles like Assassin's Creed and Dying Light 2.

I found that the difference in price really impacts my decision. I appreciate that insight!
